Rainbow Cake

this is my first 'almost perfect' frosted cake that i've made!!!!  weehoo.. y almost perfect?? cos' there are crumbs underneath the white frosting that can be seen..
but for the 1st timer not bad huh.. 
according to vivian (my instructor) it's only for the 1st time.. in fact she had taught us how to 'hide' those crumbs for next frosting project 
amazingly.. one of the rainbow color is violet but it looks blueish in this pic

Last saturday was Arissa's & Aisya's (Kak Long's daughters) birthday party.. so I've decided to make some cupcakes for the occassion (sambil cuba2 utk promote kot2 ada org yg berminat nak order )
This time round the cake taste much better cos' I lessen the sugar for the icing (got few comments last time saying that it was just too sweet..) and i used new color - REFRESHING ORANGE!!

My New Venture

last week suddenly I have this overwhelming spirit nak buat cupcakes with fancy frosting on top of it..
so testing power la kan.. and it turn up quite nice kire boley laa
I've always wanted to do something like this and I've decided to venture into this small business of making cupcakes for occassions like birthday, party, kenduri, or if anyone who is just craving for it..
my cuppies are medium size (it's one size bigger than the cups that are usually used for kuih raya). This photos taken from the batch I created for samples for my office mates (size tak sama cos' I only have one tray for medium size cuppies so terpaksa mix guna mama punya acuan yg kecik for the rest of the batter).
the cake selections are - vanilla, chocolate and vanilla + choc rice
toppings - u can choose to have butter cream frosting (no flavour), u can choose the theme colour if u want to n I'll do my best to work it out for u.. or chocolate ganache frosting
price - RM20 (24 pieces) or RM30 (36 pieces)
Please give me 2-3 days notice before day of collection and if the order is more than 2 boxes, please give 1 wk notice. All orders have to be self-collected either from my home in Seri Kembangan or u can pick up from my office at Menara TM.

trip to Cameron Highlands

We went to Cameron Highland on 3/3-5/3..
The last time me and hubby went there was during our honeymoon last 3 years
This time round, not only 2 of us were going, tapi dengan baby..
The trip was much better since we used Simpang Pulai route.. a bit far but the road is bigger and less windy than the Tapah route..
Luckily masa pegi Danial tak meragam..cuma bila dah dekat nak sampai tu we all have to pull over cos' he started to cry... huhu cian anak mama penat..
but overall it was great n we do enjoy ourselves - I miss the cendawan goreng!!

Holiday at Bukit Merah Laketown Resort

From 10-12 Feb, we all went to Bukit Merah to unwind..
Mama teringin nak pegi.. so we all bawak ler
And then we went to Penang for one night..
gi melawat Mak Long and Mak Sabar
Seronok jugak... but the whether was too hot..
